The Melville Millionaires are graduating a number of players into the post secondary ranks to continue their respective playing careers.
Captain Michael Jordan (Raymore SK) has agreed to attend SAIT in Calgary, Alberta. Jordan scored 20-goals and assisted on 26 others to finish third in team scoring. He played four years in the SJHL, all with the Mils.
Defenseman Austin Krahenbil (Melville SK) is headed to the CIS with the Ottawa GeeGees. Krahenbil led the Mils blueline in scoring (Justin Hollinger was a part-time defenseman) with 7-goals and 20-assists in 49-games. He played 155 career games as a Millionaire over three seasons.
Defenseman Jordan Reeve (Regina SK) is going home. Reeve has agreed to play for the Regina Cougars. Reeve played three years in Melville, finishing up with 3-goals and 17-assists in 27-games in this 20-year-old campaign. He battled numerous injuries over the past two years; but was an elite blueliner when in the line-up.
Forward Colton Kennedy (Kenora ON) will play this Fall for Wisconsin-Superior (NCAA Div III). Kennedy was a January 10th trade deadline acquisition for the Mils and compiled 6-goals and 7-assists in14-games upon his arrival from the SIJHL.
Forward Cody Gross (Winnipeg MB) will join Reeve at the University of Regina. Gross played 12-games and scored 3-goals and 9-assists after joining the club from the MJHL’s Winnipeg Saints. Gross also played parts of five years in the WHL with Prince Albert, Regina, Red Deer, and Calgary.
